Gisingen Housing For Disabled
The housing project is situated in the second building row staggered to an existing building. Surrounded by orchards the new building is developed by a footpath. The positioning of the new building results from the optimum exposure of the old and the new building interiors according to the use in daily routine. Herefrom a clearly defined and generous open space originates in direct assignment to the habitation areas. The building is structured horizontally in two parallel zones which create in their spatial sequence a fluent crossing between outside space in the west, covered seat area, clear habitation area and private room zone in the east. The appearance of the new housing for disabled does not differ from the appearance of the other residential buildings. By the configuration of a natural living space possibilities for a widely independent development of the single inhabitant are offered.
