The island is already listed as a monument<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\"> of special importance. The focus was on the careful use of resources in harmony with nature in the sensitive region of Lake Constance as well as on aesthetic-cultural sustainability. The highlight and landmark<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">is the new <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Palm Cathedral<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">, which forms <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">the new <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">focal point of<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\"> the island. The <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">self-contained building,<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\"> which was developed especially for this location<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">, <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">consists of four barrel-like glass <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">volumes. These contain event and exhibition facilities,<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\"> a restaurant and a jungle play<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">ground.
