The \u2018Alte Textilschule\u2019 (old textile school), built in 1956 along the Dornbirner Ache river, was renovated by Cukrowicz Nachbaur Architects on behalf of the state of Vorarlberg for the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences and extended with a seven-storey, tower-like structure that forms the end of the quarter. An open space concept with a barrier-free staircase and ramp system, garden and courtyard complements the structural measures.
