{"id":7538,"date":"2026-06-30T11:26:30","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T09:26:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cn-architekten.at\/?p=7538"},"modified":"2026-06-30T11:28:06","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T09:28:06","slug":"rear-award-2026-shortlist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cn-architekten.at\/en\/rear-award-2026-shortlist","title":{"rendered":"REAR AWARD 2026 &#8211; Winner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hittisau Fire Station and Cultural Centre, 2000<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reflect Architecture Award 2026\u00a0<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The fire station and cultural centre, which houses the Women\u2019s Museum in Hittisau, has been awarded the inaugural REAR AWARD 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The REAR Award seeks out buildings that have been exposed to the elements and in use for a generation, bearing the marks of ageing, transformation and patina \u2013 buildings that are marked by time, use and climate, yet retain their quality, presence and cultural significance. The award shines a spotlight on buildings that have been part of our everyday lives for more than 25 years. By bringing these structures back into current discourse, it opens up a perspective on what endures and what may yet come to be.<\/p>\n<p>The building was designed by Cukrowicz Nachbaur Architekten and completed in 2000.
