Mountain Restaurant Niedere Andelsbuch
Not far from the Mountain Chapel which CN completed in 2008 stand a small alpine dairy and a restaurant, which was in urgent need of refurbishment. While preserving the key structural elements, the ground floor dining room and kitchen were reorganised to streamline operation. These spaces also received upgraded insulation and a completely new design. The existing open fireplace was integrated into the new concept. The client’s own spruce was used for the new interior fit-out, alongside maple for the furniture and durable, rough sawn oak for the floor. All timber was left untreated. The simplest possible details and the rejection of fussy design has created a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere within the alpine setting.
